CHARACTERISTICS OF LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH CULTURAL VALUE EDUCATION

In the context of global integration and Industry 4.0, there are significant changes in cultural values, especially in lower secondary school students’ perception and behavior. The article aims to examine the changing characteristics of students in terms of cultural value education. Based on the showed evidences, teachers, administrators and parents will understand the students’ behaviors better, then take flexible and effective methods to educate them about cultural values. The outstanding feature of lower secondary school students’ awareness of cultural value education is the formation of self-awareness leading to self-education of cultural values. Students are both the object and the subject of the process of cultural values education. However, due to the age-physiological characteristics, these students’ awareness is limited, this leads to incorrect conceptions and behaviors of cultural values. This self-education process is influenced from “their friends and peers” and “social opinions” which are both good and bad, so the strong collaboration of communities, parents and schools is essential to achieve the purposes of cultural values education
