RE-TRAINING SCHOOL TEACHERS TOWARDS COMPETENCE-BASED APPROACH

Summary: 
One of the tasks needed for the implementation of radical and comprehensive renovation in education as defined in the Communist Party’s Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW is the renovation in teacher training in the direction of competence-based approach. On that base, the article puts forward a new direction in renovating teacher training and re-training with the aim to enhance professional capacity for school teaching satff, as follows: To specify the re-training objectives (needed standards) of each competence, identifying the background knowledge, conditions for development, competence showing, ways of re-training and assessment of teacher competence dveleopment process.
