Game-based teaching is an exciting method for learners. This method requires a high level of creativity on the part of teachers to maximize the effectiveness of the method and meet the needs of students. In this study, the authors investigate the current status of applying this method in some high schools in Gia Lai province. A number of learning games are also proposed to be used in teaching Cell Biology and Grade 10 Biology in order to improve students’ engagement in learning. The experimental results prove the effectiveness of the gamebased teaching method as illustrated by biological knowledge tests and the investigations on students’ interest.

The appearance of the concept of conditional probability in grade 12 has become one of the new important points in the General Education Curriculum in Mathematics in 2018. This requires teachers’ preparation for ideas to design teaching situations for lesson plans of conditional probability. On the other hand, the effectiveness of teaching situations should also be evaluated so that they can be adjusted and improved. This article presents two experiments: the former on teaching situations of conditional probability to form the concept of conditional probability and students’ problem-solving skills related to conditional probability, and the latter on assessment of students’ achievement of knowledge and skills according to the General Education Curriculum in Mathematics in 2018

Việc xuất hiện khái niệm Xác suất có điều kiện ở lớp 12 trở thành một trong những điểm mới quan trọng trong Chương trình Giáo dục phổ thông môn Toán 2018. Điều này đòi hỏi giáo viên phải chuẩn bị ý tưởng cho thiết kế tình huống dạy học để soạn thảo kế hoạch bài dạy Xác suất có điều kiện. Mặt khác, việc đánh giá tính hiệu quả của tình huống dạy học cần phải được thực hiện để có thể điều chỉnh và cải tiến nó được hoàn thiện hơn. Bài viết trình bày: Thực nghiệm thứ nhất về tình huống dạy học Xác suất có điều kiện để hình thành khái niệm Xác suất có điều kiện và kĩ năng giải quyết bài toán liên quan Xác suất có điều kiện ở học sinh; Thực nghiệm thứ hai về đánh giá mức độ đạt được chuẩn kiến thức và kĩ năng của học sinh theo Chương trình Giáo dục phổ thông môn Toán 2018.

Online and face - to - face blended teaching is one of the teaching methods demonstrating the key advantages of both online and face - to - face one, as well as limiting the disadvantages of two teaching methods. This is also a teaching method in accordance to the 2018 general education program in the direction of developing competence for students. This article investigates the basic issues of blended teaching and learning and proposes a plan to organize the blended teaching and learning method for students at secondary schools under the 2018 general education program. On such basis, the article proposes a lesson plan framework for blended teaching at secondary school level and designs the illustrative lesson plans accrording to the proposed framework, giving some notes when designing lesson plans. This research results can be used in the research, teaching and learning of Literature subject at secondary school level according to the 2018 Literature curriculum in particular and the 2018 General Education Program in general.

Preparing children for the primary first grade is an important task of the early childhood education. Primary school Mathematics is one of the core subjects, which contains many applications in daily life. Meanwhile, children with intellectual disabilities suffer from cognition deficits, so they need to gain basic Math skills to be able to participate effectively in inclusive learning in primary schools. Utilizing supporting exercises is a good strategy to help children with intellectual disabilities to obtain basic Math concepts to enter grade 1 smoothly. Based on an overview of previous studies and practical implementation, the article will present three groups/types of supporting exercises: 1) A group of exercises associated with hand-on material (manipulation skills); 2) A group of exercises associated with visual illustration; and 3) A group of exercises associated with the symbols.

Chuẩn bị cho trẻ vào lớp Một là một nhiệm vụ quan trọng của giáo dục mầm non. Môn Toán ở Tiểu học là một trong những môn học cốt lõi và có nhiều ứng dụng trong cuộc sống của mỗi người. Trong khi đó, trẻ khuyết tật trí tuệ có khiếm khuyết về trí tuệ, do vậy, các em cần có những kĩ năng cơ bản về tính toán để có thể tham gia học hoà nhập hiệu quả ở Tiểu học. Sử dụng bài tập bổ trợ là một chiến lược hữu hiệu giúp trẻ khuyết tật trí tuệ có thể tiếp nhận những kĩ năng cơ bản về tiền tính toán để vào lớp Một được thuận lợi. Dựa trên tổng quan các nghiên cứu đi trước và quá trình triển khai thực tiễn, bài viết trình bày ba nhóm/dạng bài tập bổ trợ là: 1) Nhóm bài tập gắn liền với đồ dùng cụ thể (thao tác); 2) Nhóm bài tập gắn liền với trực quan hình ảnh; 3) Nhóm bài tập gắn liền với biểu tượng.

The article examines international experiences on digital application according to the ecosystem approach in early childhood education in some countries, aiming at drawing lessons from experience in building a digital application model with the combination of connect different objects in the education system. The research results show that digital technology enhances the early childhood education environment and develops relationships between teachers, parents, and the community towards improving the quality of early childhood education and holistic children development. However, the values of ICT depend on the attitudes of policymakers, educational managers, and how teachers know, choose, and use the digital technology in early childhood education

Trị liệu nghệ thuật là một hướng tiếp cận hiệu quả trong tham vấn, trị liệu tâm lí cho trẻ bị lạm dụng tình dục. Ở Việt Nam, vấn đề này chưa được nghiên cứu một cách bài bản và có định hướng rõ ràng. Nghiên cứu này được thực hiện với mục tiêu khám phá và phân tích các biểu hiện tổn thương tâm lí của trẻ bị lạm dụng tình dục thông qua hoạt động vẽ tranh. Nhóm tác giả sử dụng phương pháp nghiên cứu trường hợp và kĩ thuật phân tích tâm lí qua tranh vẽ trên 5 khách thể là trẻ bị lạm dụng tình dục từ 9 đến 14 tuổi. Kết quả cho thấy, các bức tranh mà trẻ vẽ nên phản ánh các biểu hiện tổn thương tâm lí do bị lạm dụng tình dục của trẻ em Việt Nam là: Suy nghĩ ám ảnh, lòng tự trọng thấp, mặc cảm tội lỗi, trầm cảm, phân li, cảm giác thất vọng, cảm thấy bối rối/lúng túng trong mọi việc và cô đơn. Đây là những minh chứng thực hành quan trọng để thúc đẩy và phát triển công tác tham vấn, trị liệu tâm lí cho nhóm đối tượng trẻ em này ở Việt Nam.

Trường phổ thông dân tộc bán trú là loại hình trường chuyên biệt được khẳng định tại Điều 61, Luật Giáo dục năm 2019. Thực hiện yêu cầu đổi mới cùng với sự phát triển của đất nước nói chung, phát triển vùng dân tộc thiểu số nói riêng, đối với hệ thống trường phổ thông dân tộc bán trú có nhiều ý nghĩa đặc biệt quan trọng, trong đó được coi là nơi tạo nguồn cho các trường phổ thông dân tộc nội trú - nhân lực người dân tộc thiểu số chất lượng cao của tương lai. Do vậy, những vấn đề về lí luận mô hình trường phổ thông dân tộc bán trú cần đổi mới theo hướng phát triển bền vững. Đây cũng là xu thế chung trong bối cảnh hiện nay khi nước ta và ngành Giáo dục đang triển khai thực hiện các mục tiêu thiên niên kỉ và các mục tiêu phát triển bền vững ở tất cả các lĩnh vực của đời sống xã hội, đặc biệt là giáo dục và đào tạo vùng dân tộc thiểu số, miền núi.

The 21st century is the era of technology, in which many countries implement various reforms and policies related to education in general and science education in particular. The integration of STEM with the arts including the fine arts, the liberal arts, and the physical arts is a remarkable feature. It turns STEM into STEAM and also becomes the slogan for education reform in many countries around the world. On the other side, with the development of the new general education curriculum in 2018 towards a competency approach, teachers are required to have innovations in order to follow several educational trends. STEAM teaching competency is one of the necessary competencies of teachers in this period. This article proposes a toolkit to self-assess STEAM teaching competency for high school teachers. Based on consultation with various experts, the survey was conducted and experimented on 249 teachers; by synthesizing Cronbach’s Alpha and Exploratory Factor Analysis, five groups of factors and 37 criteria were identified. Teachers can use this toolkit to self-assess, thereby adjusting, sharpening, and developing STEAM teaching competency. As a result, teachers can design interesting science and STEAM lessons for students and accomplish the goals of the new general education curriculum in 2018 towards a competency approach.

The STEM education model enables students to apply the integrated knowledge of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into the specific context to develop the students’ problemsolving competencies. Through solving the problems in STEM topics, students have the opportunity to develop professional competencies. The article presents a number of integrated teaching activities in the STEM education model based on the topic of “Javel water production” to develop self-learning competence for students in high school. The results of the pedagogical experiment at Chuong My High School in Hanoi show the feasibility of the STEM education model in forming and developing students’ self-learning competence.

Teaching in the flipped classroom model is one of the modern teaching methods to overcome the disadvantages of traditional teaching methods as well as to meet the innovation requirements of today’s education. The general principle of this method is learner-centered approach. Students will arrange their own time to learn the content of the online lesson (normally, lecturers will provide lectures on an online platform), then class time is for teachers and students to interact - discuss and deepen the knowledge. The article investigates the design of the general process and the process of designing a specific lesson plan, applying the flipped classroom model to Chemistry teaching (in both online and face-to-face classes) at high schools.

Evaluating the implementation of the plan on care and education for preschool children to ensure gender equality requirements and appropriateness in the local context is an important and necessary task in preschools, including the assessment of the formulation and implementation of the plan, and the results of the implementation of the care - education plan to ensure the requirements of gender equality and appropriateness in the local context. The main assessment methods used in this study are to analyze different types of educational plans (year, month, week, and daily), by ages, subjects, and activities in class, school, and groups; Class observation, observing the activities of teachers and children; Observing the children’s expression; working with the child’s parents; communicating with the children and using the measuring exercise. On the basis of the evaluation results, the author makes adjustments or supplements to correct the things that have not been achieved.

This study was an attempt to describe the students’ problems when studying in the Translation course at Vinh University. The study involved 54 third-year students majoring in English at Vinh University. To collect data, a 3-step Likert scale questionnaire, participants’ writings and group interviews were used and triangulated. The findings showed that EFL students faced three main challenges during their translating process, including limited grammatical knowledge, lack of ESP vocabulary, and other problems relating to culture, pragmatics and background knowledge. From the results, a number of solutions were suggested in order to improve the translation competence of English major students at university level.

Nghiên cứu này được thực hiện nhằm điều tra các vấn đề gặp phải của sinh viên chuyên Anh tại Trường Đại học Vinh khi theo học môn Biên dịch. Nghiên cứu được thực hiện với sự tham gia của 54 sinh viên chuyên Anh năm thứ ba tại Trường Đại học Vinh. Dữ liệu được thu thập bằng cách sử dụng bảng câu hỏi thiết kế theo thang Likert ba bậc, bài kiểm tra dịch và phỏng vấn nhóm. Sau khi phân tích các số liệu và ngữ liệu thu thập được, kết quả cho thấy khó khăn trong việc phát triển kĩ năng biên dịch của sinh viên xuất phát từ ba yếu tố: Hạn chế về kiến thức nền, sự khác biệt ngôn ngữ giữa tiếng Anh, tiếng Việt và hạn chế về kiến thức ngữ pháp. Từ những kết quả nghiên cứu, bài báo đưa ra các đề xuất kiến nghị để hỗ trợ tăng cường chất lượng giảng dạy nhằm nâng cao kĩ năng biên dịch cho sinh viên tại Trường Đại học Vinh nói riêng và cho những người học tiếng Anh nói chung.

The training of primary school teachers has always been the strength of Ba Ria-Vung Tau College of Education in the past years. The input quality of students majoring in Primary Education is often higher than that of other majors. During the training process, the learning results of students majoring in Primary Education are usually good and there is a high percentage of students who get jobs after graduation. This achievement is attributable to many great solutions taken by Ba Ria-Vung Tau College of Education to improve the quality of teacher training in general and primary school teachers in particular to meet the labor demands of the society.
