Vietnam Journal of Educational Sciences is the scientific mouthpiece of the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences. The Journal was established on August 1, 2005, by merging the Journal of Educational Sciences Information of the Institute of Educational Sciences and the Journal of Educational Development of the Institute for Educational Development Studies.
Vietnam Journal of Educational Sciences is one of the most prestigious scientific journals in Vietnam in the field of educational sciences. It is a trusted address for domestic and foreign scientists to choose to send their research results. Over the past time, the Journal has always been highly appreciated by the State Council of Professors, the works published in the Journal are counted by the Council up to 01 point.
During the process of construction and development, the Vietnam Journal of Educational Sciences has made positive contributions to the educational science research career of the country in general and of the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences in particular.
1. Legal status
Vietnam Journal of Educational Sciences is a scientific career unit under the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences, with its account and seal.
Vietnam Journal of Educational Sciences operates under the Press Law of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Publishing License No. 197/GP-BTTTT issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications on July 20, 2024 (Old License No. 605/GP-BTTTT issued on December 4, 2017).
2. Functions
The Vietnam Journal of Educational Sciences has the function of publishing research results in the field of educational sciences by all authors inside and outside the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences; communicating the Party's guidelines, policies, laws of the State, and activities related to education and training according to the provisions of the Press Law and the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences; being a scientific forum, exchanging practical experiences, theories on educational sciences; Being a reference and citation database for scientific research.
3. Tasks
3.1. Publish research results on educational science fields, reflect theoretical and practical achievements in Vietnamese education, and study international educational experiences.
3.2. Provide information and communication on educational science research results; Party guidelines, State policies and laws, and activities related to education and training.
3.3. Participate in cooperation, consultation, and provision of services related to scientific publication and information on educational science.
3.4. Perform other tasks assigned by the Director of the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences.
4. Review, Editing and Publishing Process
Before being accepted for publication in the Vietnam Journal of Educational Sciences, all manuscripts are subjected to a double-blind peer review process by reputable scientists in the field in which the manuscript is presented.
The process of preliminary manuscript screening, review, editing, and publishing is strictly followed according to the procedures of the Vietnam Journal of Educational Sciences (see VJES's Editorial process.jpg, VJES's Editorial process (E).jpg).
5. Periodic publication and release
Vietnam Journal of Educational Sciences publishes two versions, corresponding to two different languages: Vietnamese edition and English edition. Each issue of the Journal is published in two forms: Print and Online.
5.1. Vietnamese edition

- Publication period: one issue per month (published on the last day of each month).
5.2. English edition

- Publication period: one issue every 3 months (published on the last day of March, June, September, and December).
In addition, the Vietnam Journal of Educational Sciences publishes special issues (special issues) to announce the authors' research results presented at national and international scientific conferences and seminars. All articles before being published must fully comply with the review process and other regulations of the Journal. The special issues (special issues) published are not counted as regular issues.
The Vietnam Journal of Educational Sciences is published through the following forms: Gifting, donating, and selling:
- Gifting, donating: each author is given 01 copy; delegates attending scientific conferences and seminars; scientists participating in the Editorial Board;...
- Selling: The Journal cooperates with organizations and individuals in publishing activities by selling at cover price.
6. Publishing support costs
Vietnam Journal of Educational Sciences is an open science journal, so after the manuscript is accepted for publication, the author will support the publishing costs according to the instructions of the Editorial Secretariat.
Support costs: 2,500,000 VND/article. The support costs may change depending on the regulations of the Journal and will be updated on the website.
According to current regulations, all authors whose articles are submitted for publication in the English edition do not have to support the publishing costs. This policy may change, the Journal will update the information later.
