Summary:
An Giang is a populous border province in the South West region, close to the South West border between Vietnam and Cambodia. At the headland of the South West region, An Giang has the basic advantages to strongly develop agro-fishery production, especially rice and aquaculture. These conditions have a great impact on the quality of education and training in An Giang province. Therefore, it is necessary to implement measures to improve the quality of managerial staff, teachers, facilities to meet the requirements of education reform today. This article summarizes the economic, cultural and social characteristics of An Giang province. From that point of view, the author proposes some solutions to develop education and training in An Giang province by 2020 to meet the need of education and training reform in the current period of international integration.
