CREATING A SAFE, FRIENDLY, AND INCLUSIVE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT: BARRIERS AND SOLUTIONS

Going to school is the right of all Vietnamese children, and society has a duty to satisfy that basic and legitimate need. In fact, there are a small number of children who sometimes have not received the welcome of schools, or they have not really experienced the feeling of safety, comfort, and confidence when participating in school activities to develop themselves. Education statistics show that the above-mentioned disadvantaged children group is concentrated mainly among children in monetary poor households, students from ethnic minorities, and students with disabilities - generally known as “the disadvantaged group”. The issue is raised as to whether there are any “barriers” when children access education. In addition, what are the obstacles in receiving care and patronage of the children so that they can integrate in a friendly and safe environment? This article will identify the above problem, thereby providing solutions to it.
