Summary:
The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has forced education around the world as well as in Vietnam to shift teaching and learning activities to online methods. Online teaching is becoming more and more popular at all levels of education and is being officially recognized as an essential learning method alongside traditional learning methods (face-to-face in class) to make progress towards the digital age in education. However, in the context of social distancing, online teaching has not been implemented synchronously and methodically, especially in management. Therefore, the issue of online teaching management for primary school students needs more attention as an issue not only for urgent situations but also for the longterm. The research team has developed a toolkit and conducted a survey for teachers of primary schools in a number of provinces/cities across the country to determine the current situation of managing online teaching activities in the context of social distancing, thereby proposing a number of solutions to improve the efficiency of this management activity. The results of this study will serve as a useful reference base for researchers, primary school administrators, and teachers in teaching and managing online teaching activities in schools to improve the quality of teaching and learning
