LEARNING ABOUT AN ARTISTIC WORK ADAPTED FROM LITERATURE (A 12TH GRADE THEMATIC LESSON IN THE 2018 LITERATURE CURRICULUM)

This paper refers to the interconnection between literature and other art forms, highlighting literature as a rich source of inspiration and material for creative adaptation across various artistic mediums. Through teachers’ challenges in keeping pace with the innovation of the 2018 High School Literature Curriculum, this research proposes a teaching method for the 12th-grade thematic lesson "Learning about an Artistic Work Adapted from Literature". This method aims to cultivate students' aesthetic and artistic abilities by studying literary adaptations to other art forms, such as painting and cinema. The paper utilizes two illustrative examples: the painting "Two shy sisters hid behind the flowers” (Hai Kiều e lệ nép vào dưới hoa)" and the film "Vu Dai village that day" (Làng Vũ Đại ngày ấy).
