APPLYING THE LITERATURE CIRCLE TACTIC IN TEACHING READING COMPREHENSION OF TEXTS “LET'S MEET AGAIN AT THE PAGODA” BY MINH CHUYEN (LITERATURE 11, KITE SERIES)

Summary: 
The 2018 General Education Curriculum emphasizes the formation and development of core and specific competencies associated with specific subjects in general school. Reading comprehension of text is a crucial activity that is the first step in acquiring and applying students’ Literary knowledge to form and develop their Literature capacity. It is essential to equip them with ways to read comprehension of text and form, practice, and enhance their reading comprehension capacity to promote their mastery, independence, positivity, and creativity. Applying the Literature Circle tactic to organize teaching is the appropriate direction, helping students gradually master the reading process and an indispensable bridge for students to become independent readers with reading and creative skills. Not only that, it also helps them actively participate in the process of interpreting the text and form and develop their qualities and abilities.
