CURRENT POLICIES IMPLEMENTED BY VIETNAMESE UNIVERSITIES TO ATTRACT STUDENTS

Summary: 
In the context of increasing and diversified universities in Vietnam, the competition among higher education institutions has been increasing, the policy for attracting students, especially those of high quality to attend the university is one of the top priority strategies that determine the development of the university. Universities now need to have such policies to attract students as: Enhancing training quality and developing the university brand; Developing teaching staff; Managing the training in professional and modern manner; Policies on tuition fees and scholarships; Promoting image of the university. In order to improve the effectiveness of these policies, the following measures should be taken: Improving the quality of education while enhancing the attractiveness and reputation of the university; Improving the effectiveness of advertisement and dissemination of the study fields and the image of the university; Maintaining and expanding the scholarship policy along with upgrading infrastructure for the training; Establishing centers of career guidance and counseling.
