SOME KEY FINDINGS ON VIETNAM’S PISA RESULTS OF CIRCLES 2012 AND 2015

Summary: 
The article provides a general picture of results obtained by Vietnamese students in three areas of Mathematics, Science and Reading at two PISA circles 2012 and 2015. The author also analyzes the PISA results of Vietnamese students by student gender, school location, school type, and changes in PISA results over two cycles. In addition, the author presents some information on the differences between the education system of Vietnam and that of OECD countries/economic regions, as well as some policy notes and practical solutions for improving Vietnam’s education quality
