Summary: 
Philology is a basic subject taught at the school and is also an important component of human cultural background. To enhance the effectiveness of Philology teaching at the school, it is necessary to renovate basically its contents and teaching methodology aiming at developing student activeness. Compiling questions, exercises and practising by literal text reading are one of the popular methods applied by teachers for the purpose of training and developing philological competence (literature receiving competence) for upper secondary students
