INTERNATIONAL LITERATURE AT UPPER SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN DEMANDS OF VIETNAM’S EDUCATIONAL RENOVATION

Radical and comprehensive renovation of education has been an urgent practical demand supported by the society. But how to renovate? What are basic principles for the renovation? What to be renovated? From the above mentioned view point, the author analyses and deals with such isues as: Purpose of the teaching and learning of international literature at upper secondary schools; curent state of the teaching and learning of international literature at upper secondary schools and reasons of that current state. Hence, the author proposes recommendations for renovating and enhancing the quality of the teaching and learning of international literature at upper secondary schools, including: sylabus structure, teacher training and re-training, student outcome testing and assessment
