Summary:
Sex education for students is a long-standing issue, however, due to the Asian perception of sex and sexual issues are sensitive, adults tend to avoid or give inadequate explanations to children’ questions about these issues that leads to unpredictable consequences by youths’ selflearning in Vietnam. In fact, sex is a scientific subject that needs to be educated early for children from primary school age towards preparing proper awareness of sex and making appropriate decisions on this issue. Sexual education should be integrated into a number of subjects and educational activities at schools in order to provide a comprehensive approach for learners. Based on the 2018 curriculum, the article introduces a list of principles for integrating comprehensive sex and sexual education in the curriculum; the contents of comprehensive sex and sexual education to educate students under the international guidelines as well as abilities and requirements of comprehensive sex and sexual education in teaching topics of Ethics education at primary education level
