LIMITATIONS ON REGULATION OF STUDENTS’ CURRENT EVALUATION AND CLASSIFICATION AT GENERAL SCHOOLS

Summary: 
Measurement and evaluation in education has been developed in many countries since the last century and applied into students’ assessment and ranking. In Vietnam, science of measurement and evaluation in education has just been applied in recent years, mainly focused on developing measurement tools in form of multiple-choice tests without any application research into students’ assessment and classification. From viewpoint of the achievements and international experience in this aspect, the author points out shortages of the regulation in general students’ assessment and classification. Then, we can see the need to renew this regulation in process of renewing the general education curriculum.
