Summary:
It is urgent for Vietnam to renew its undergraduate training. Developing a training program to meet the needs of society was a main objective that managers concerned. Through theoretical approach of knowledge creativity by Nonaka - Takeuchi (1995) and the SECI process, the author recognizes that enhancing students’ adaptive competence and creativity should be seen as a goal in its training. From data of students’ group discussion in two universities, the author identifies relationship between the practicality in the undergraduate program and the impact mechanism on students’ adaptation and creativity. The research findings will be a basis for further studies of students' adaptive and creative competencies as well as the development of undergraduate program.
