DEVELOPING SUBJECT CURRICULUM TOWARDS COMPETENCY AS A BASIS FOR TEACHING TO PROMOTE STUDENTS’ CREATIVITY

Summary: 
Competency-based approach as a basis for teaching to promote students’ creativity, that helps teachers be creative in subject design and implementation for specific students in their class. Then, students have opportunities to express themselves, try their best to study towards the common goal of the educational curriculum. This article introduces the five-step process of developing subject curriculum. Based on that, the design and implementation of subject curriculum comes from learners, subject requirements in a specific teaching context and adheres to principles of competency-based curriculum.
