DEFINING MATHEMATICAL COMPETENCE IN THE NEW GENERAL CURRICULUM

Summary: 
The article refers to concept of Mathematical competence with its components and initially determines the required achievement at each level in the new curriculum. At the same time, the concept of numeracy competence was analyzed in terms of a professional competence (as defined in the overall curriculum). Then, through the specific examples, opportunities and ways will be mentioned to contribute to shaping, developing numeracy competence (as well as general competencies and other professional competencies) in the new curriculum.
