Summary:
Over the past time, teaching online has been implemented in Vietnam and achieved results in both quantity and quality. The practice of onine teaching system shows that there are still difficulties, mainly related to technical infrastructure; the competence of managing and organizing teaching activities of administrators; and students’ self-study competence. It is necessary to have an overall approach to improve the quality and efficiency in teaching in general and online teaching in particular. Many scientists have investigated the educational ecosystem, including human factors (teachers, learners, etc.); educational environment (real, virtual; and documents, etc.); and relationships between these objects (model education; assessment; etc.). On the basis of studying the works of some scholars, we briefly describe the approach to the educational ecosystem, the components; some difficulties and advantages; quality evaluation criteria; and a model of the educational ecosystem in Vietnam.
