Cooperative learning, group work and pair work are found to have considerable impacts and effectiveness in learning processes and improving the students’ writing performance. This article identifies the advantages and limitations of peer correction in order to give some suggestions for applying this method for first-year students non- majoring in English.

The article focuses on analyzing the natural science competencies for secondary school-age students with the specific competencies, criteria and expression level. : Bài báo trình bày kết quả nghiên cứu các yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến sự phát triển năng lực giảng dạy của giáo sinh chuyên ngành Tiếng Anh trong quá trình thực tập. Tham gia nghiên cứu gồm có 102 giáo sinh từ một trường đại học ở Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh trả lời bảng câu hỏi, trong đó có 14 giáo sinh giảng dạy tham gia trả lời phỏng vấn. Kết quả cho thấy, giáo sinh cho rằng, sự phát triển năng lực giảng dạy của họ bị tác động nhiều nhất từ các yếu tố liên quan đến bản thân họ, kế tiếp là các yếu tố liên quan đến giáo viên hướng dẫn thực tập. Tuy nhiên, giáo sinh thừa nhận rằng, yếu tố liên quan đến môi trường thực tập không có tác động đến sự phát triển năng lực giảng dạy của họ. This paper aims at presenting the factors affecting teacher-trainees’ development of teaching competency during teaching practicum. This study involved 102 English majored teacher-trainees from a higher education in Ho Chi Minh City in answering a questionnaire, and 14 of whom took part in semi-structured interviews. The results showed that teacher-trainees’ development of teaching competency was influenced by the group of teachertrainees related factors the most, followed by that of supervisor related factors, notwithstanding the factor of teaching environment related factors neutrally affected teacher-trainees’ teaching competency development. Such findings could contribute to the improvement of teacher training as well as teaching practicum course at the research context and other similar ones

Bài báo trình bày về việc tổ chức dạy học vận dụng nguyên hàm - tích phân giải bài toán thực tế thông qua mô hình hóa toán học. Hoạt động này giúp học sinh nắm vững kiến thức nguyên hàm - tích phân và kĩ năng vận dụng nguyên hàm - tích phân giải bài toán thực tế. Tạo động cơ, khuyến khích các em tích cực vận dụng tri thức toán học để giải quyết vấn đề thực tiễn. Qua đó, giúp học sinh hiểu sâu hơn mối liện hệ giữa Toán học và thực tiễn, rèn luyện cho các em năng lực giải quyết vấn đề.

This article is aimed to present the organization of teaching and applying a primitive - integral to solving practical problems through mathematical modeling. This activity helps students master the knowledge of the primitive - integral and the skills of applying the primitive - integral to solving the real problems. It is also effective in promoting learners motivation and encouraging them to actively use mathematical knowledge in solving practical problems. Thereby, students will gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between mathematics and practice; contributing to improving their problemsolving competence.

Under the credit system, students are provided the method of thinking, as well as how to approach and dominate knowledge. Thereby, students become active, proactive and creative in learning and research activities. However, the reality shows that students’ self-study competency is limited, the time for self-study does not meet the requirements of creditbased training, these students have not focused on the methods and skills of self-study. The article presents the assessment results of the awareness of the educational forces (managers, teachers, educational researchers) on the forecast of the number of children and students attending to school as well as the assurance of conditions for the educational development in Vietnam. Through a survey of 6300 managers and teachers at all levels, 150 lecturers and educational researchers, and 120 educational administrators at all levels, the author found many interesting evidence. In particular, the outstanding results reflect that the perception of the education forces on the forecast of the number of children and students attending to school is limited, leading to the renovation and development of education are not profound and comprehensive. Therefore, overcoming the limitations of opinion is a necessary solution to ensure the conditions for educational development in our country.

Sự phát triển mạnh mẽ về khoa học, kĩ thuật và công nghệ tạo nên những cơ hội và thách thức đối với sự đổi mới giáo dục tại Việt Nam. Nghị quyết số 29- NQ/TW nhấn mạnh việc tăng cường tổ chức hoạt động học tập trải nghiệm trong dạy học để phát triển năng lực cho học sinh.Từ đó, giúp học sinh thích ứng với bối cảnh mới. Hóa học 11 là môn khoa học thực nghiệm cung cấp những tri thức khoa học cơ bản về hóa học trong tự nhiên và đời sống, sự biến đổi của các chất và ứng dụng của chúng trong thực tiễn. Vì vậy, tổ chức hoạt động học tập trải nghiệm trong dạy học môn Hóa học 11 không chỉ gắn kiến thức lí thuyết với thực tiễn mà còn giúp học sinh phát triển các kĩ năng chuyên biệt của môn học như kĩ năng thực hành thí nghiệm, kĩ năng vận dụng tri thức hóa học vào tìm hiểu và giải quyết vấn đề thực tiễn. Để tổ chức hoạt động học tập trải nghiệm trong dạy học môn Hóa học 11 tại các trường trung học phổ thông của Quận 9, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, bài viết xác định khái niệm hoạt động học tập trải nghiệm môn Hóa học 11, các dạng hoạt động học tập trải nghiệm môn Hóa học 11 và đề xuất quy trình tổ chức hoạt động học tập trải nghiệm trong dạy học môn Hóa học 11. Bên cạnh đó, bài viết trình bày 01 ví dụ minh họa vận dụng quy trình tổ chức hoạt động học tập trải nghiệm “Làm sạch cặn ở đáy ấm đun nước lâu ngày” khi dạy bài học “Axit cacboxylic”. Kết quả tổ chức tổ chức hoạt động học tập trải nghiệm trong dạy học môn Hóa học 11 tại trường Trung học phổ thông Long Trường, Quận 9, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh cho thấy, kĩ năng thực hành thí nghiệm và kĩ năng vận dụng tri thức hóa học vào tìm hiểu và giải quyết vấn đề thực tiễn của học sinh đã được phát triển.

Creative and problem solving competence is one of three common competencies that high school students need to be formed and developed in the learning process, which is achieved when teaching all subjects and educational activities in general schools. To accomplish this aim, teachers should apply appropriate teaching methods in teaching all subjects. In particular, STEM education is now widely used by educators in teaching natural sciences to develop students’ competencies.

Scientific research competence is one of the core competences which contributes to the development of general competencies and the competence to study from a chemical perspective for students in secondary schools. The research on scientific research competence development in general, and the tool kits designed for assessing the scientific research competency in teaching metals in Chemistry in particular are still limited. The article presents a design of the tool kits for the scientific research competence assessment in teaching Chemistry, including: general issues designing the tool kits, an illustration of design in teaching the chapter of “metals” in the 12th grade chemistry curriculum, such as competency tests, teachers’ reports, and feedback questionnaires for students.

In the context of renovation, Vietnam has currently made great achievements. The country’s economic, social - political development is stable, and the prestige of the country in the international arena is constantly being raised. Improving the quality of higher education in general and the quality of Marxist - Leninist philosophy teaching in particular is an objective requirement to build human resources to meet the country’s development in the new period. Teaching Marxist - Leninist philosophy in universities in our country today has an important meaning in propagating and educating learners about the views of Marxism - Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought, guidelines and policies of The Party, policies and laws of the State. At the same time, developing good qualities of politics, morality, and beautiful values for learners, thereby creating workers who have both ethical quality and working ability. In order for Marxist - Leninist philosophy to truly become an attractive subject, teachers should be an active companion to guide and assist their learners throughout the course.

Assessing students’ practical competencies is one of the important stages in the process of education and training in schools. This process includes collecting, analyzing and processing information obtained from students, comparing with identified criteria, making judgments objectively about the ability to convert knowledge into skills and carry out practical activities. In order to have a basis for evaluation, it is necessary to build criteria and processes as well as define evaluation methods.

Using basic research methods such as survey and analysis, the article analyzes and assesses the current status of managing the training of secondary school teachers with university level education in accordance with a competency-based learning outcome in the South-East region of Vietnam, meeting the requirements of education innovation. The research results show that in the current management of secondary school teacher training, it is necessary to focus on managing the educational goals of secondary grade level; the content, textbooks and development of the new general education curriculum; managing the form and organizing teaching activities at the secondary school level.
