VIOLENT ACTION OF STUDENTS AT GENERAL SCHOOLS: RESEARCH FINDINGS AND SOLUTIONS

In recent years, school violence has become a matter of interest, concern, worry of family and school. The research findings at secondary schools in Hanoi showed that the phenomenon of active violence and passive violence has become widespread at secondary schools with more than 50% of students reported being violence in at least one form and more than 33% of students reported causing direct violence (fighting, bullying, intimidation) or indirectly through social networks. Students tend to abuse the social network-related online violence, which includes active and passive violence (bullying, intimidation) via social network. Forms of bullying include physical and mental violence, direct and indirect ones through social networks can cause consequences and negative impact on learning, physical health and mental health, and psychological impact on development of students.
