Summary:
This study used the labor force survey data of the General Statistics Office for the period 2012-2017 to analyze the status of college-educated labor force in the labor market. The results show that the college-educated labor force has an average increase of 9.71% per annum, but the rate of having job growth is 9.53% per year, there is a gap in this manpower between men and women, in which men have higher rates than women. The percentage of college-educated labor force or higher degrees in professional or technical work tends to decrease. The study also uses the generalised least squares (GLS) estimation method for the fixed effect model with repeated data of 220,064 enterprises in the period 2012-2017. Acccording to the stimated results, the spillover effects of FDI enterprises on labor demand from college-educated level and above are positive. From the Input-Output model, a demand for college-educated labor has changed positively, especially in industries to meet the requirements of innovating production methods
