Summary:

The trend of globalization has increased the dependence and linkages among all nations. Global citizenship and global citizenship education become one of the important educational goals. Global citizenship education should be implemented synchronously in all stages from the perspective and policies to the curriculum, plan and educational activities of each subject. Vietnamese literature is considered as a subject with many opportunities in global citizenship education. The approach method needs to be flexible to ensure the feasibility and effectiveness. Teachers can integrate through the selection of topics and content; by choosing positive methods to increase awareness and action on global issues such as giving students chances to connect with real-life contexts, expressing feelings and thoughts, investigating, conducting field interviews, writing reports, presenting and publishing. These activities will help learners become global citizens, preparing for a better world
