RESEARCH FINDINGS OF PROJECT "EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN" ON INCLUSIVE EDUCATION AND IMPROVING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF MANAGING THE VIETNAM EDUCATION SYSTEM FROM 2012 TO 2016

Summary: 
Vietnam is a low middle-income country, on the way to develop economy and people. During the cooperation period 2012-2016, the Vietnamese Government and UNICEF have jointly implemented project "Education for Children", with the overall goal of improving quality / effectiveness of managing education system and access to preschool, primary and continuing education for vulnerable children group. The project has achieved good results and some useful lessons- learnt. Since then, the Vietnamese Government and UNICEF will continue to implement Phase 2 to ensure that all children- regardless of their gender, ethnicity, socio-economic status or personal circumstances- have access to qualified education from kindergarten to high school, to be studied and promoted personal potential competencies. This paper presents results of project "Education for children" in terms of inclusive education and improving the effectiveness of Vietnam education system management from 2012 to 2016.
