Summary:
Human resources management for teachers at public schools in Vietnam is one of the focuses to the educational management authorities at all levels and also a great concern of teachers working at schools. Research on the current situation based on direct evaluation of teachers who are working at schools shows that despite great efforts from related organizations, besides some good aspects there still are limitations and insufficiencies on managing human resources for teachers currently. On such basis, the author provides some conclusions and recommendations, including: Relevant managerial documents to each school level, a merit salary policy, and some issues on training, developing and evaluating teacher performance need to be improved. These are key things to give positive impact and effect on teachers’ behaviors of teacher to be more proactive and creative in teaching activities
