APPLYING LEARNING THROUGH PLAY APPROACH IN ORGANIZING EXPERIENTIAL ACTIVITIES TO DEVELOP STUDENTS’ COMPETENCE

Summary: 
Innovating the method in teaching subjects and educational activities is how to change the role of learners from receiving knowledge provided by teachers to active learning. Learning through Play is an educational approach where educators create an environment for students to interact, experience, explore and solve learning problems in a fun and exciting way, thereby increasing initiative and positivity of students. The reason that learning through play contributes to increased initiative and positivity is because when learning through play, students are interested in learning and finding that their learning activities are meaningful, and it motivates them to engage in activities learning activities. Students are willing to experiment many times to achieve results and actively interact with their peers and teachers to find ideas and make a report of activities, etc. All those things contribute to promoting the development of competencies for students.
