Summary:
The ever-changing social life in the context of economic transition has had a dramatic impact on children’s education in Vietnamese rural families. The rural parents’ care in moral education, health care, learning support and direction as well as investment in their development was closely linked to job and income. The research findings on the status of family education in the economic transition were implemented in rural areas of Vinh Phuc, Thai Binh, Quang Ngai, Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh City. As a result, family members and communities should raise their awareness and performance in this task and participate in education with schools towards improving quality and educational outcomes for the next generation
