DEVELOPING AND TESTING THE ASSESSMENT STANDARDS ON FINE - ARTS COMPETENCE AT LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN THE 2018 GENERAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM

The 2018 General Education Curriculum was built toward developing students’ quality and competence through the competence of subjects, including Fine-arts subject. It is essential to assess students’ learning outcomes, ensuring fairness, objectivity, and feasibility of the curriculum. Therefore, developing a standard is crucial to support teachers in teaching and evaluating educational outcomes. The competency assessment standard also provides accurate, timely, and valuable information on the achieved level for learners, improving the effectiveness of teaching Fine-arts in the 2018 General Education Curriculum. The Finearts subject was formed by its main elements (subject characteristics, viewpoints on developing curriculum, objectives, contents...), but developing standards must be based on the achieved requirements of Visual arts and Applied arts.
