ORGANIZATION OF TEACHING HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY TOPICS FOR STUDENTS IN LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOLS THROUGH STEAM EDUCATION

Summary: 
In the context of the strong development of Industrial Revolution 4.0, the application of a modern educational model is an urgent requirement to renew teaching methods in high schools today. Teaching History and Geography topics to students in lower secondary schools through STEAM education is a modern educational method to develop students’ creative thinking, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration skills, the ability to use technology, and the ability to connect knowledge of various subjects to solve real-world problems. By the theoretical research and experimental pedagogy methods, the article clarifies the following contents: The scientific basis of STEAM education; Steps to teach History and Geography through STEAM education; Organizing instruction of History and Geography topics for students in secondary schools through STEAM education. STEAM education is an important measure to improve the quality of History and Geography subjects, contributing to fulfilling the goals and requirements of the 2018 General Education Curriculum.
