DIRECTIONS TO DEVELOP STANDARDS TO ASSESS STUDENTS' COMPETENCIES IN THE SUBJECTS OF NATURAL AND SOCIAL STUDIES, HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Summary: 
Standards-based assessment and competence-based curriculum have become a trend in the world. The 2018 General Education Curriculum was issued according to the competencedevelopment approach in Vietnam. Currently, standards that support effectively the process of organizing teaching and assessing students' learning outcomes have not been issued. With the requirement of developing competence-based assessment standards, the research team used expert method, applied international theories and experiences to provide some orientations for developing assessment standards in the primary education level of Nature and Society subjects, History and Geography. This article refers to the framework of subjectspecific competency presented in the curriculum and develops the levels of achievement of the requirements (assessment standards for competency). Although there are still many difficulties in the process of developing assessment standards, the research results will hopefully be a reference point for future studies.
