Summary:
Chinese psychologists are interested in intellectual and emotional issues, post-traumatic stress, beliefs, levels of interaction, and social acceptance of students in schools. Applying positive psychology in building school culture aims to improve student happiness, comprehensive human development, and positive development of teachers. The models of positive psychology applications include programs to increase social practice, and physical activity, improving teachers empathy, and positive youth development. Based on the experiences of applying positive psychology in China, Vietnam could develop criteria and determine a method to approach and design programs to conform with the local schools’ cultural environment. Although currently high schools in Vietnam have initially established school counseling rooms, it is still necessary to involve educational administrators, teachers, and school psychologists to build positive and happy schools.
