Visible thinking routines are one of the critical factors to help learners become effective learners - who become fully aware of their own learning process and are able to manage their thinking and learning. The article aims to introduce and analyze the concept of thinking, visible thinking, and visible thinking routines. It also highlights some benefits gained by both teachers and students during the process of using visible thinking routines in the classroom and, at the same time, introduces the incorporation of visible thinking routines in English language classes. Finally, the article proposes some suggestions for better application of visible thinking routines in English classes.
