FACTS AND SOLUTIONS FOR TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMME IN TERMS OF QUALITY ASSURANCE OF UNIVERSITIES IN SOUTH EAST ASIA

Summary: 
With the aim that ‘Teachers must be trained to become educators, not just knowledge transmitter’, administrating teacher training programme for high school teachers in terms of AUN-QA needs to be improved fundamentally and thoroughly according to models of other developed countries but main features of Vietnam society and its university education base must be maintained. This study is aimed at evaluating the context of administrating teacher training programme for high school teachers in terms of AUN-QA at 5 universities. This activity has gained a few good results including building up outcomes suitable with the mission and vision of the university, checking up and evaluating the process of developing educational purposes, strictly carrying out the roles of teachers and students, evaluating the monitoring system of students, carrying out students’ curriculum effectively, etc. The results show that there are still some limitations regarding to some contents in administrating and developing special knowledge of teachers and staff, some contents in accessing study performances.
