COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER IN SETTING UP A LEARNING SOCIETY

Summary:

Setting up a learning society is required by the industrial revolution 4.0. Community Learning Center (CLC) is an educational institution that is developed in the community and available in most communes/ wards/ towns throughout the whole country. CLC fulfills people’s learning needs and can be flexibly adjusted to their learning plans. At the same time, in CLC, people could share their experience and knowledge with others in the community. Therefore, if CLC’ role, functions, and tasks are promoted, a system of core institutions can be built to set up a learning society in the community. This article focuses on the learned lessons and the orientation of developing the CLCs’ characteristics to set up a learning society in Vietnam.
