NEW GENERAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM IN VIETNAM AND GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION

Summary: 
The article presents the views on the objectives of global citizenship education. On that basis, a general analysis of the new general education curriculum is considered from the perspective of global citizenship education. The results show that, in the new curriculum, elements of global citizenship education have been reflected in the learning outcomes, content, teaching and learning methods and the evaluation of learning outcomes. The author also recommends that in order to effectively implement this goal in the subjects/educational activities and for specific learner groups, it will be necessary to concretize and apply properly in curriculum implementation process, which should have an important role of textbook authors, the educational managers at different levels, schools and each teacher.
