DEVELOPING OUTCOME STANDARDS FOR THE PRE-TEACHER TRAINING TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF EDUCATION REFORM

Summary:

The outcome standards for the pre-teacher training should be developed to meet the requirements of education reform in general and the professional standard for teachers as well as the new general education curriculum in particular. The standards are developed based on the system approach, competence approach, functional approach and practical approach. On the basis of inheriting the outcome standards for the pre-teacher training, which have been studied and applied in Vietnam and some other countries in the world, the new requirements of the professional standards of teachers and the new general education curriculum, the author proposes the output standard framework for the pre-teacher training, including: 1/ Morality (Political and civic consciousness; ethics and pedagogical styles); 2/ Competences (general capacity, professional capacity, pedagogical competence).
