Summary:
This paper introduces the higher education models of several countries in three continents: North America, Europe and Asia. The various types of higher education institutions, number of student registered in higher education, University admission forms, education policies and university accreditation are analysed as well. Finally, some remarks drawn from this analysis will serve as lessons for developing higher education policies in Vietnam.
