ASSURING THE QUALITY OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN SELECTED COUNTRIES AND LESSONS - LEARNT TO VIETNAM

Summary: 
Assuring the quality of higher education is one of great concern by nations, NGOs, regional and international organizations and networks. The international quality assurance organizations cooperative through developing a network at both regional and international levels and conduct education quality accreditation through standards of quality assurance at national, regional and international levels as well. The paper presents concepts related to quality assurance, current quality assurance models used in the world, and ways to assure the quality of higher education in selected countries. Then, lessons-learnt were given to Vietnam in the process of doing the quality assurance in higher education.
