APPLYING TECHNOLOGY 4.0 IN EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS

Summary: 
The development of technology 4.0 creates a promising and motivating platform to safely practice and rehearse skills for children with autism spectrum disorders. However, the studies on this issue in Vietnam is still limited. This article reviews international research on applying technology 4.0 in education for children with autism spectrum disorders in terms of four main forms: intervention based on mobile electronic devices and computers, video-based intervention, virtual reality and augmented reality environment, and augmentative and alternative communication. In addition, the study also summarizes the benefits of using technoloy 4.0 in education for children with autism spectrum disorders. On such basis, some recommendations are proposed to research and apply technoloy 4.0 in education for children with autism spectrum disorders.
