MANAGEMENT OF TEACHING MATHEMATICS IN ENGLISH AT HIGH SCHOOLS

In the context of education innovation, global integration in all fields and Industrial Revolution 4.0, using English as an instructional medium for teaching content subjects is considered a matter of course. Carrying out this policy effectively will enable students to achieve such English proficiency that they can use it confidently to communicate, to study and to work in the multilingual and multicultural environments. In this paper, we discuss the management of teaching mathematics in English based on competency development orientation for students at high schools in Vietnam. On the basis of current situation analysis, the authors offer some solutions for the management of competency-based mathematics teaching with the use of English as a medium of instruction for schools’ reference and application in improving the quality of teaching teaching mathematics in English.
