Summary:
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the experience of multidisciplinary approaches to quality assurance in early childhood education and care of Finland, the United States, Australia, Russia, Korea, Colombia, Thailand and Malaysia affirms that each country under different conditions has been issued policies and directed the implementation of solutions to ensure the quality of preschool education in the context of COVID-19 with the coordination of many sectors. In particular, the solutions focus on organizing a forum for exchange and multidisciplinary cooperation, empowering to decide on the quality of early childhood education, attracting the participation of young parents, and supporting young parents who are experiencing difficulties in early childhood education, using technology platforms for online education. On the basis of an overview of early childhood education experience in dealing with the pandemic in the above countries, it is a practical lesson to propose recommendations to ensure the quality of early childhood education in Vietnam in the direction of a multi-sectoral approach to building a legal corridor, increasing awareness, decentralization, and directing flexibly according to the local multi-sectoral coordination mechanism, making use of resources, and applying information technology solutions to preschool education in the context of the epidemic.
