SOME MEASURES TO MANAGE TEACHING ACTIVITIES OF BASIC PROFESSIONAL SUBJECTS IN THE INTERMEDIATE PEOPLE’S POLICE SCHOOLS BASED ON COMPETENCE - ORIENTED APPROACH

Summary: 
After reviewing theoretical issues on teaching and management of the Basic professional subjects at the Intermediate People’s Police Schools based on competence-oriented approach, through a survey questionnaire on 98 managers and teachers, the author has summarized the current status, creating a scientific and practical basis to propose six measures to contribute to improving the effectiveness in these activities. The Basic professional subjects at Intermediate People’s Police Schools in the direction of capacity development, include: to organize activities to raise awareness and responsibility for managers, teachers and students about teaching basic professional subjects oriented by competence-based approach; to develop the curriculum for teaching basic professional courses with the competence-based orientation; to direct the innovation of teaching methods and forms; to guide the use of modern technical means in teaching the Basic professional subjects at the Intermediate People’s Police Schools; to focus on building a pedagogical environment and ensuring the conditions of teaching and learning; to regularly check and evaluate the teaching and learning activities with the competence - based orientation.
