CURRENT STATUS OF FACILITIES IN CHILDREN GROUPS, KINDERGARTENS, AND INDEPENDENT PRESCHOOL CLASSES IN IMPLEMENTING PRESCHOOL EDUCATION CURRICULUM

The facility is one of the main factors supporting teachers in implementing effectively the Preschool Education Curriculum and a necessary and sufficient factor prescribed by law when developing and opening children groups, kindergarten classes, and independent preschool classes. Survey results at preschool educational institutions show significant differences in terms of the current state of facilities in implementing the Preschool Education Curriculum among cities, towns, industrial parks, and rural areas. Most class groups have paid attention to investing in facilities to ensure compliance with regulations on area, child care, nurturing, education rooms, function rooms, etc., and attract many children to go to class. However, some class groups still have not really paid attention to this problem, in which some toilets and semi-boarding kitchens are not yet adequate, playgrounds in most children groups and independent kindergarten classes are still lacking with inadequacies. The indoor or outdoor playground depends on the infrastructure of high-rise buildings, apartments, or four-level houses. The article uses theoretical research method, situation survey by questionnaires, seminars, in-depth interviews with administrators at the Department of Education and Training, group leaders, preschool teachers/person caring for children, and observation method of facility, equipment, toys at children groups, kindergarten classes, and independent preschool classes to assess the actual status of their facilities in four provinces/cities including Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Bac Ninh. From there, facility standards of independent preschool educational institutions are proposed.
