Summary:
The 2018 Mathematics general education curriculum aims at equipping students with the ability to apply the knowledge they learn into real-life situations. To achieve this goal, teachers need to emphasize Mathematical modeling capacity for students. The paper discusses the fundamental concepts of Mathematical modeling and modeling competence. Then, several pedagogical measures were suggested to help teachers develop activities that can foster students' Mathematical modeling capacity while teaching Trigonometric Equations grade 11.
