LIFE COMPETENCIES - SOME GUIDELINES ON THE INTRODUCTION INTO LANGUAGE CLASSES

Summary: 
The world is witnessing rapid changes. The era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution - 4.0 Industry requires better preparation of the necessary competencies for students. Foreign language teaching in general and English language teaching in particular; therefore, should equip students with the skills and experiences that go beyond learning an additional language. It is the aim of this article to give a brief introduction about life competencies (Creative thinking, Critical thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Learning to learn, Social responsibilities) and at the same time give some guidelines on the introduction of those competencies into English language classes so that teachers would find it easier to deal with this challenging area.
