COMPETENCY-BASED CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT IN VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS

Summary: 
In recent years, the reality of the outdated curriculum that has not been regularly updated and improved has greatly affected the vocational school’s quality of training. To solve this problem, developing the curriculum is an urgent requirement in order to support learners after completing the course finding find employment or continuing their study to a higher level in line with the goals of technical and vocational education and training. There are different approaches in curriculum development, but competency-based training approach is showing many outstanding advantages, suitable for vocational schools. Building a process of developing curriculum at vocational schools towards competency-based training approach will be a reference source to guide vocational schools in the implementation process, contributing to improving the training quality
