Summary:

In recent years, social networking sites have developed extensively to all levels of society. The number of students participating in social media sites, particularly Facebook, accounts for a very high proportion. They spend a lot of time accessing these sites mainly for relaxation, but used a limitted time on learning and exploring materials. To encourage students self-studying and spending a lot of time on self-study is a task which requires a lot of investment from teachers. With the theme “Exploring the Earth’s magnetic field”, teachers do not teach only by transmitting (building) knowledge, but mainly instructing students to self-seek information through Facebook, using knowledge when solving tasks of practical significance.
