FACTORS AFFECTING ONLINE TEACHING OF HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS IN HANOI: CURRENT SITUATION AND SOLUTIONS

Summary: 
This study analyses the current situation of factors affecting online teaching of high school teachers in Hanoi through a survey of 106 teachers by using questionnaires, interviewing two teachers, and organizing a seminar for ten students both in the urban and suburb area of Hanoi city. The research results show that the sample is diverse and representative for most high school teachers in Hanoi, from gender, ethnicity, region, training level, seniority, and online teaching experience. Based on this analysis, the study indicates that three factors including individuals, students, and internet access condition have the most impact on online teaching of high school teachers. In addition, the article also identified both positive and negative influences on the online teaching of high school teachers. On such basis, five solutions are proposed to improve the effectiveness of online teaching in high schools in the future.
