Summary: 
The project “Reading books with me” aims to connect students with the community to promote reading culture. It is part of a larger research project attempting to utilize the model of “Learning with community” to train primary education students’ professional skills. Students were encouraged to design the programs and proactively implement their own solutions and ideas in three local primary schools. Our observation when supervising the project and consulting these students shows that the model might have a practical contribution in shaping students’ awareness. It might also confirm the model’s applicability that should be integrated on larger scale when training students at university
