Summary: 
The study was conducted on lecturers and students of the Education faculty about difficulties and solutions to improve the quality of STEM education in teacher training at Hanoi Metropolitan University. The result shows that both lecturers and students highly appreciate the role of STEM education at this institution. Along with that, the orientation of STEM education in schools needs to provide knowledge and skills in STEM education, foster a passion for science and technology, and develop the capacity to organize the STEM educational activities for students. According to the research results, students and lecturers face many difficulties in teaching and learning STEM. In addition, they have proposed some solutions to improve the quality of STEM education for pedagogical students. At the same time, the research also shows that there is a close relationship between the five measures proposed by students and teachers. Therefore, it is necessary to synchronously implement the solutions proposed above to improve the quality of STEM education.
